The June birthday boy wanted to celebrate his birthday at Tandoori Flame, the new Indian Buffet in Delta. I was not so eager for any all you can eat as I always ended up regretting it.
We called up to check if they accept reservation. Unfortunately, no. So, we arrived about 5 minutes before the dinner opening time at 5:00PM and there was a line already.
We waited for at least 30 minutes before we got to the reception desk just next to the bar.
One of the server briefly showed us the buffet area and brought us to our table at the covered patio. The server returned to check with Ben if we wanted to order some cocktail or juice while the rest of us were lining up to get our food, she was definitely not happy when Ben said no.

The most interesting item is the puri where you crack the top of the fried bread and stuffed it with some savory accompaniments and some sour and spicy sauces.
A variety of pakora; vegetable, chicken and fish. The birthday boy said the chicken pakora is the best.
Dosa and rice pancake.
Biryani, butter chicken and palak paneeer.
Biryani, lamb curry and naan. The naan was not good, not fluffy.
Onion ring and spring roll.
Tandoori chicken, grilled fruit and 2 more varieties of grilled chicken.
Mango Shrikhand, I think.
The petha mithai (sweet winter melon) do not taste good for us, just our own opinion.
Ben loves the above dessert most, sooji halwa, gulab jamun and gajar halwa which is served warm.
Cakes and Jalebi. Surprisingly, the cakes were good as they were moist.
Fruits to end the meal.
The birthday boy preferred ice-creams.
It was an OK meal but Ben and I would not be back as all you can eat is just too much for us. By the way, we suspected that there were heavy handed with msg as we felt really thirsty after the meal. We even woke up in the middle of the night to drink water due to feeling thirsty.
