Dewan-E-Khass on Fraser Street., Vancouver

Ben and I went for lunch after church service. Ben decided to drive to Fraser St., to look for lunch idea.

We ended up with a Pakistani and Indian restaurant, Dewan-E-Khass.

The restaurant was not busy when we were there before 1:00PM. There were two other tables being occupied.

Ben must have read about this restaurant from Yelp.

We started off with an appetizer of fries as we saw both other tables had it. The serving was quite large and it’s a little oily.

We ordered a Fish Biryani for $11.95. The serving was big as it was piling up high on the plate.

There are generous amount of chunky fish with flaky white flesh.

The yogurt sauce that came with the biryani. We find that this is not necessary.

We also ordered a Lamb Curry to share. The bone-in lamb is cooked with garlic, onions and tomatoes, and finished in the house khass spices.

We had a naan to go with the curry since we already ordered a biryani dish. The naan was fluffy inside and crisp at the bottom.

There were simply too much food for both of us. We had the above leftover to go for our boys.

Credit card is accepted here.

I noticed that the restaurant has a Special Chicken Dum Biryani on Friday. Perhaps, we will be back on a Friday to try it.
